David Langevin Workshop

Yipee road trip.
Once again, off to a workshop with my besties  friend Stef.
This time we did a David Langevin workshop at the end of may in Merritt.
David was fabulous, In the beginning he gave us a lesson about light, color, glazes, and so much more.
He didn't hold anything back. i learned a lot from this workshop. The ladies from Merritt were wonderful.
We did a potluck dinner our first night there. Not only are these ladies, great artist, my god, they are chiefs too.
This is a tree painting that David did. So, for the rest of the workshop we did our version of that tree, learning how to paint like David. And applying everything we learned in the first part of the workshop.
This is the painting i did in the workshop. And i managed to capture some of the other paintings that other people did. so i thought i would share those too. Enjoy
We ended the workshop with David giving us a demo.
How awesome is that.
I had a great time, thanks David !

Then we were off to Cache Creek to check out Stef's new digs
LOVE her new digs

ok, she does not live in a rock, its just the view. breathless.

This is where she lives and she is making a fire in the old wood stove.
super cool.
I can honestly say, i had the best time ever.

Velveteen Bunny

I call him Thumpy................... and he comes when he is called.

Thumpy is a mini rex rabbit. He is a house bunny. My little guy brings me joy and he is also my teacher.
He reminds me to live in the moment, and life is about the journey.
Eat like its your last meal so every bite is delightful.
express joy and love and scatter it to the wind.

A Tree named Sandy

She stands tall, graceful, in silent confidence. She is strong and beautiful.
She patiently waits for you to come over and have a sit with her.

Blackfish

The documentary Blackfish inspired me to paint a Killer Whale. We go whale watching every year.
We join the tourists, and hop on the big boats, and go for a joy ride for a couple of hours.
And we get to see some whales.
We all go crazy and take lots of pictures.
I must have taken a million pictures of this male swimming as we followed him.
I was sad when we changed direction to look for more whales.
We found a mother Killer Whale with an older daughter and this years baby.
How cool is that.
we watched them swim around for awhile.
I can't help but feel, that Whales should be free.
Swimming in the ocean where they belong.

Little Warrior

Crab painting, that i named Little Warrior.
I love crabs, they fascinate me. They can live in water and on land.
They are brave little souls.
Everything loves to eat them, so do i. They are very tasty.
The thing that i love most about crabs is their courage.
They live their lives to the fullest, in the moment.
As if to say to the rest of the world.
Dance like no-one is watching.
laugh without fear and Run real fast !
